# Stoic Fellowship Wiki

Welcome to the Stoic Fellowship Wiki, a companion to [The Stoic Fellowship](https://www.stoicfellowship.com/) and the [Stoic Fellowship Network (SFN)](https://social.stoicfellowship.com). The Stoic Fellowship helps people find, start, and sustain local Stoic communities, known as *stoas*. This wiki supports the learning and practice that bring those communities together.

Whether you're new to Stoicism, preparing for a group discussion, or deepening your own practice, you can start with a term, a question, or a situation from daily life. What does virtue mean? What is up to you? How can you respond wisely when someone insults you? The aim is to connect Stoic ideas with the choices you make.

The wiki has three main sections:

* **Stoic Glossary:** Understand the terms you'll encounter in Stoic texts and discussions.
* **Foundations of Stoicism:** Explore ten central concepts, with questions and reading guides for further study.
* **Practicing Stoicism:** Find exercises and supporting tools you can use independently or discuss with your stoa.

Choose a section below. Read what you need, try a practice, and return with the questions your experience raises. To find people to learn and practice with, visit [The Stoic Fellowship](https://www.stoicfellowship.com/).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://wiki.stoicfellowship.com/wiki.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `build a script that syncs our docs to a CMS` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
